IPC of Berkley

Berkeley is a city on the east shore of San Francisco Bay, California and was named after the 18th-century Irish bishop and philosopher, George Berkeley. Home to one of the oldest campus’ in the California system and one of the largest religious studies institutions in the world it presented a rich platform from which to draw inspiration. When approached regarding the brand, both the client and I felt this work should embrace that history while fusing it with the cultural and religious aspects of the client’s expectations. Hence this logomark was born, showcasing one of Berkeley’s historic landmarks and the academic heritage of this city. I strove carefully to be both friendly and religiously aware while also being professional by design.
